Some Favorite Career Highlights & Memories
As a teenager hanging out at recording sessions with Julien ‘Cannonball’ Adderley, Olga James, George Duke and Lou Rawls. Cannonball was a real inspiration for me as a human being and musician.
My first tour of Asia performing in Thailand, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Singapore and Japan. The group ‘The Letterman’ was a classic ‘Vocal Pop Band’ from the 1950’s that wasn’t so exciting for me as I was a big ‘Queen’ Fan at the time but I was young, had never traveled internationally before and I was excited to do so. In Japan we performed sixteen concerts in thirteen cities in fourteen days. The first day of the tour I tried sushi for the first time and didn’t like it. Fourteen days later I loved it.
Touring United States with Theater Arts International‘s production of ‘The Christmas Box’. I was hired as music director and keyboardist.
Touring the US with the Richard Sheldon’s ‘Opera à la Carte performing Pirates of Penzance and H.M.S. Pinafore. Traveling on a bus with fifty singers and musicians for six weeks. I was hired as a tenor chorus member for this gig. I danced and sang across America with fifty other singer / actors. IWild times to say the least.

During this period I performed an all Chopin recital including the B minor sonata and the Twelve etudes Op.10.
Touring United States with four grand pianos as a member of Columbia Artists ‘Hambro Quartet of Pianos’. Hambro was the pianist for the New York for six seasons. The stories he had to tell were fascinating.
Performing at the Chrystal Cathedral In Orange County, Los Angeles with the Hambro Quartet of Pianos which was televised internationally.
Performing in Austria accompanying opera singer Ute Gfrere and hiking and swimming in the Austrian outback between concerts. A real “The Hills Are Alive with the Sound of Music” experience.
